Stuff from last year

But before Christmas there was still my big theory exam to tackle, the pictures might give you an impression of what that meant. I basically studied theoretical physics stuff (= electrodynamics, statistics, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics) for six weeks (that meant A LOT OF READING) and then repeating for two weeks. Pretty annoying, as you might guess. But the exam itself went really well, so it paid off after all. Right now, january 6th, I have my next "Diplomprüfung" coming up, it will be at one point in the end of february. So reading will continue....
The year ended with a nice get-together at our apartment with some friends of us. Very quiet and very sweet. I introduced them to a tradition, my dad invented. Every year for New Years Eve, we make little lemon pigs for a lucky charm. You can see some of them, aren't they cute!?

Oh, and by the way, if your cell phone looks similar to mine - than it's broken ;-)

Christmas Holidays

UHH, Christmas was nice! It was the first year that I spent Christmas Eve at my in-laws, so I was really excited. But before going there I did some card writing and send greetings all over the world. The picture of Björn and the moose (whose name was Heikki and it was from Finland!) was taken at the christmas market of Björns hometown Kassel. They had two huts with Finnish products there and at both places I was asked if I came frome Finland. First I didn't know why, but then it dawned on me that they asked because of my Marimekko bag and my Moomin reflector. Funny, eh?

On december 25th I went to my parents place, being home is always soooo great!! I visited a lot of friends and family and had a really swell time. One day some of our friends came over, among their children is my dads godson. His christmas present was a pair of working pants- the same my dad has!! Isn't that a fantastic idea! His mom told us later, that he did not want to take them off again, not even for bedtime.

At the last day at my parents place my dad build an oven. I don't know if you can see it very clear in the picture, but it is made out of two old trashcans. It worked perfectly!!
